Deer Creek Lake Bass Fishing Report

Hello Ohio bass anglers! We headed out to the electric motor only Deer Creek Reservoir in Stark County. The water was quite stained and 82 – 83 degrees warm on a partly cloudy, windy day. We found fish in the weeds by the dam, as well as by logs and laydowns on deep shorelines. Topwater spooks and frogs got them to bit, but nothing else. Tried crankbaits, spinner baits, swim jigs and swimbaits too. Nice, quality 1.5 – 2 ;b. fish like the one in the picture. Love this lake! It has a ton of shoreline available for fishing and is less crowded than other lakes in the area. There are porta-potties and a hike/ bike trail too.
