Lake Milton Bass Fishing Report 4.23.22

Lake MIlton

We headed out to Lake Milton this weekend for the first time. We launched from the Robinson’s Point ramp and the stained water was at normal pool. We just dropped the trolling motor and fished the bay we were in. In this northwest bay, the water temperature was 62, but most elsewhere on the lake it was 57 – 59.  I wish I could show you a bunch of fish pictures, but…welll… here is a picture of a pretty willow tree I took.

Although we saw a few carp under docks and a shad  & bluegill or two, we could not raise a bass in 2 – 10 feet of water.  Junk fished for about 3 hours, as we quickly discovered we forgot to put gas in the boat. OOPS!  We casted spinner baits, wake baits, crank baits, jigs and wacky worms between the 2 of us in a wide selection of colors.  It was a slow day fishing, but still a nice day on the lake. Guess we’ll have to go back again to get those fish pictures!
