Paint Creek Lake is in Highland and Ross Counties. The lake covers 1190 acres of fishing water with 30 miles of shoreline. This lake lies within Ohio Division of Wildlife District Five(5).

Paint Creek Lake is located 10 miles east of Hillsboro. One(1) mile north of US Route 50 on Rapid Forge Road. Five(5) miles south of Greenfield on State Route 753.

Approximately 10 miles east of Hillsboro. Approximately 5 miles south of Greenfield. Approximately 60 miles from Dayton. Approximately 50 miles from Cincinnati.

Paint Creek Lake is noted for its outstanding; *Largemouth and Smallmouth *Spotted Bass *White and Black Crappie *Bluegill *Sunfish *Catfish *Suckers *Carp. The fishery has developed from the resident fish populations in the streams which flow into it.

Paint Creek Lake is an unlimited horsepower lake. Two improved boat launches are available – one is on of the Rattlesnake arm off of Cope Road on the west side – the other is on Taylor Road.

The Ohio Division of Wildlife activities include; monitoring fish populations ~ creel studies ~ physical and chemical water quality analysis.
