Deer Creek Reservoir in Stark County is a hidden gem for bass fishing! We enjoyed a fun day catching some quality bass the day we visited! The stained water ranged from 75 – 80 degrees on a still wind, partly cloudy day. Every fish was caught off of logs & lay downs with a Strike King 2.5 Bluegill colored crank bait. Fish swiped at but missed every top water bait, even though the overcast skies seemingly was made for a top water bite.
We saw lots of people fishing along the roadside in the morning, but we were the only boat on the lake. It is electric motor only & you can put a boat with a gas motor in – just don’t use it.
Definitely a two-thumbs up bass lake for us – we’ll be back!
