Spent an afternoon fishing the Black River in Lorain. The bass and sheephead/ drum were biting! Caught many bass along a concrete wall just past the wrecked ferry boat. There were huge schools of minnows everywhere! Caught them on white buzz frog, a chartreuse crank bait and a bluegill colored spinner bait. The drum were bonus fish – caught my first ever on the same spinner bait. They seemed to be hanging around stumps in 4 – 8 feet of water. The water temp was 74 – 76, stained with lots of cottonwood floating on top. Very windy day.
