Lake Info & State Management
Dillon Lake is in Muskingum County. It covers 1325 acres of fishing water at normal pool. This lake is within Ohio Division of Wildlife District Four(4).
Location ~ This recreational area lies 6 miles north of Zanesville off of State Route 146. It can be reached by driving southeast from Newark on State Route 16 to SR 146.
Distance from Major Cities ~ Approximately 45 miles east of Columbus. 6 miles north of Zanesville. Approximately 30 miles west of Cambridge.
Fishing Opportunities at Dillon Lake feature *Bluegill *Crappie *Largemouth Bass *Bullheads *Carp *Muskellunge *Walleye *Flathead and Channel Catfish.
Boating Information ~ This is a busy lake with four boat ramps. Two of these boat launches are near the dam – one is off of State Route 146 and the other at the marina – which also rents various watercraft. Horsepower is unlimited.
Development of the 1325-acre lake and 4400 acres of land surrounding it are carried out jointly by: The Corps of Engineers – The Division of Natural Resources – The Division of Wildlife – The Division of Parks and Recreation.
