Lake Information,Details and State Management
Lake Loramie,Lake Loramie is in Auglaize and Shelby Counties with most of the lake in Shelby County. This lake covers 1500 acres of fishing water with 30 miles of shoreline. This lake lies within Ohio Division of Wildlife District Five(5).
Location,Lake Loramie is located in Shelby and Auglaize Counties. It is approximately two(2) miles east of Fort Loramie on State Route 362 and 6 miles west of Anna on State Route 119.
Distance from Major Cities,Approximately 70 miles northwest of Columbus. Approximately 40 miles north of Dayton. Approximately 95 miles south of Toledo.
Fishing Opportunities,Lake Loramie maintains an excellent fishery consisting of: *Largemouth Bass *White and Black Crappies *Bluegill *Channel Catfish *Bullheads. These species were all stocked by the Ohio Division of Wildlife.
Boating Information,There are no horsepower restriction on Lake Loramie. Numerous boat launches are available with most of them on the southeast end of the lake near the dam. A ramp is off of SR 362 at Black Island just north of the park office. The Luthman Road ramp is south of State Route 119 on Luthman Road and has two lanes and ample parking.
State Management,The Ohio Division of Wildlife activities include; monitoring fish populations ~ stocking ~ creel studies ~ water quality analysis ~ studies of bottom organisms..[/table]
