Headed East to Mosquito Lake near Cortland and Warren, Ohio a couple days ago. In typical fashion, Mosquito showed us a great time catching high quality largemouth bass all day! With water temperatures from 78- 80 degrees, we were a little surprised at how shallow we found fish – about 2 -4 feet. Better quality fish if there was a deeper ledge nearby, but lots of fiesty 10 -12 inch fish in shallow weed edges, too. Caught fish on shallow crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Launched from the State Park ramp, which has ample room and is kept in excellent condition.
