Your going to take snacks with you when you go fishing. What cooler way can there be to pack your snacks than in a tackle box? This is not my idea – its all over the internet. Its called a “snackle box”. I think its a GREAT idea. Kudos for whoever thought of it!
What is a Snackle Box?
The “snackle box” is a plastic, compartmentalized tackle box – like a Plano 3700 – filled with your favorite snacks. Its sort of like a fisherman’s charcuterie plate. You can fill each compartment with a variety of stuff – crackers, nuts, M&M’s, beef jerky, or whatever. Pack one for the cooler, too! You won’t have to dig. Your cheese, fruit, pickles, hard boiled egg halves and more will all be right at your fingertips! Grab snack while you retie your line or grab a new plastic worm.
Snackle Packing To The MAX
Since tackle box partitions are adjustable, these storage containers are a perfect way to present a platter, too! How about a veggie tray with a few different dips in the middle compartment? Kids will have a blast picking and choosing their favorites from a snackle box, too.
I consider my fishing time “date day” with my husband. A snackle box is a perfect way for me to pack a picnic without hauling a bunch of extra packaging along. It fits right in with your other tackle. A word of caution: don’t get your snackle box confused with your tackle box. Reaching into the wrong box for a handful of peanuts may get you a sharp surprise!
