The Better Half Tour Spring Fling male/female bass tournament took place on Lake Milton Saturday, May 4th with a 20 boat field. Champs Vicki & Ed Hankins came to the scales with a three fish limit that weighed 12.04 lbs., including a 5.31 lb. beautiful Lake Milton smallie. They beat 2nd place team Josh Griffiths and Jennifer Rhodes by over four pounds! Griffiths & Rhodes weighed in 8.00 pounds for 2nd place. Crew members Chuck Cremeans and Heather Prohaska came in 3rd with 7.93 lbs. 4th place was Tim & Tammy Johnston, with 6.16 lbs. The last cash place in 5th was Josh Hensley & Kelly Kline, last year’s champs, with 5.09 lbs. 6th place, Dalton & Alyssa Delancey, took home a nice tackle pack provided by Bass Dog Baits.
It was a great day of fishing and catching, as all teams that weighed in had a three fish limit. We had many tales of walleye, muskie and crappie caught as well as numerous bass. Thanks Lake Milton for a great beginning to the 2024 BHT season. The next BHT tournament will be at Mosquito Lake on Saturday, June 15th. This will be 100% payout, sponsored by Heater Baits.
