Guilford Lake is in Columbiana County. The lake has 380 acres of fishing water with 6 miles of shoreline. It is within Ohio Division of Wildlife District Three.
Location ~ Guilford Lake is located in Columbiana County on the West Fork of Little Beaver Creek in Hanover Township. It lies north of State Route 172 which joins with US Route 30 near Canton and Lisbon. State Route 9 from Salem or Hanoverton joins State Route 172 at New Garden just 2 miles west from the lake.
Distance from Major Cities ~ Approximately 25 miles east of Canton. Approximately 65 miles southeast of Cleveland. Approximately 20 miles west of the Ohio/PA border.
Fishing Opportunities ~ The Division of Wildlife stocks *Largemouth Bass *Bluegill *Channel Catfish *Northern Pike. Native species include *Smallmouth Bass *Crappie *Perch *Pumpkinseed *Brown Bullhead *Suckers *Carp.
Boating Information ~ There is an improved ramp off of Hannah Drive on the south side of the lake. There is another small boat launch provided for campers.
The Division of Wildlife activities include monitoring fish populations and stocking ~ construction of fish attractors ~ physical and chemical water analysis.
