Lake Snowden is in Athens County. This small lake covers 131 acres of water and has 7.1 miles of shoreline. The lake lies within Ohio Division of Wildlife District Four(4).
Location ~ Lake Snowden is located in the southwest corner of Athens County. It is southwest of the city of Athens and one mile northeast of Albany. The lake can be accessed from Us Route 50.
Distance from Major Cities ~ 6 miles from Athens. Approximately 190 miles south of Cleveland. Approximately 80 miles southeast of Columbus. Approximately 145 miles east of Cincinnati.
Fishing Opportunities ~ Lake Snowden offers anglers *Largemouth Bass *Bluegill *Redear Sunfish *Channel Catfish.
Boating Information ~ There is a 10-hp limit restriction on Lake Snowden. A primitive launch ramp is located off of State Route 50 on the south side of the lake.
The Ohio Division of Wildlife activities include; fish stocking ~ installing fish structures ~ monitoring fish populations ~ creel studies ~ water quality analysis.
