Lake Info & State Management
O`Shaughnessy Reservoir is in Delaware County. The reservoir covers 1000 acres with 17 miles of shoreline. Ohio Division of Wildlife District One.
Location ~ O`Shaughnessy Reservoir is located in southwestern Delaware County. It lies between State Route 257 and State Route 745. It is a neighbor to the Columbus Zoo and the Columbus Zoological Gardens.
Distance from Major Cities ~ On the northwest corner of the city limits of Columbus — Approximately 110 miles southwest of Cleveland — Approximately 60 miles northeast of Dayton — Approximately 90 miles northeast of Cincinnati.
Fishing Opportunities, at O’Shaughnessy Reservoir include Crappies * Largemouth Bass * Bluegill * Saugeye (stocked) * Northern Pike.
Boating Information ~ There are no horsepower restrictions on O`Shaughnessy Reservoir. A improved boat launch is on the east side of the lake off of County Road 131. Other gravel ramps are found in various locations around the lake.
The Division of Wildlife activities include monitoring fish populations – stocking – water quality analysis.
