Mogadore Reservoir is located in Portage County. The lake has 1000 acres of fishing water with 19 miles of shoreline at normal pool level. It is within Ohio Division of Wildlife District Three.
Location ~ Mogadore Reservoir is located in southwestern Portage County. It is 3 miles east of Akron approximately 1 mile north of State Route 224 and about 6 miles south of Kent on State Route 43.
Distance from Major Cities ~ Three(3) miles east of Akron. Approximately 35 miles southeast of Cleveland. Approximately 110 miles northeast of Columbus.

Boating Information ~ There is an electric motors only restriction on Mogadore Reservoir. Three modern boat launches are distributed along each third of the lake.
The Division of Wildlife activities include ~ monitoring fish populations ~ stocking & creel studies ~ general physical and chemical water quality analysis. They are also responsible for the three parking lots and a boat launch. The city of Akron constructed and maintains two family camping areas a swimming beach and picnic areas.
