Lake Info & State Management
Punderson Lake is in Geauga County. The lake covers 101 acres of fishing waters with 2.6 miles of shoreline. The lakes lie within Ohio Division of Wildlife District Three.
Location ~ Punderson Lake is a part of Punderson Lake State Park. It is located west of State Route 44 and south of State Route 87 in the vicinity of Burton – Newbury – South Newbury – approximately 13 miles south of Chardon.
Distance from Major Cities ~ Approximately 30 miles northeast of Akron. Approximately 25 miles east of Cleveland. Approximately 35 miles west of the Ohio/PA border.
Fishing Opportunities ~ Punderson Lake fishing opportunities include *Bluegills *Largemouth Bass *Catfish *Crappies *Yellow Perch. Because of its depth and cool water the Division of Wildlife has stocked Rainbow Trout and Golden Trout.
Boating Information ~ There is an electric motors only restriction on Punderson Lake. There is a boat ramp and boat rental at the state park office on the north end of the lake.
The Ohio Division of Wildlife activities include ~ monitoring fish population ~ stocking ~ creel studies ~ water quality analysis.

Clear Fork Reservoir Bass Fishing Review
Spent a sunny, breezy day on Clear Fork Reservoir Thursday. There are some nice bass in there! The stained water was 77 – 79 degrees, and we fished the windy side (campground side).
