Tappan Lake OH ~ Google Maps
We fished from @9:15 – 5:00. Had action on a top water frog (black & red) in the morning, not much afterward. The water temperature ranged from 76 – 80 degrees and was lightly stained. It was calm – @8 mph winds.
There are 2 public boat ramps on Tappan Lake. We used the one on 250. It is a paved, 2 lane ramp, with courtesy docks and a port-a-potty restroom. About 1/2 mile west of the ramp, there is a rest area with picnic tables along the shore that would be a great place for some shoreline fishing.
Across the street from the ramp, Annie’s Hut is open year-round, and sells live, bait, bottled water and drinks, ice and snacks. Stop by and find out where they are biting! The proprietor was very knowledgeable. See if you see our GoFishOhio.com sticker!
CRAPPIE FISHERMEN! There is a survey by the boat ramp on the crappie fishing at Tappan Lake. Please fill one out when you go fish there!
Bass Anglers – there is a bass tournament that leaves the public ramp on Rt. 250 every Tuesday night @ 5:00. There are also a few revolving tournaments (one electric only) that fish there every 4 weeks or so.
