Veto Lake is in Washington County. This small lake covers 160 acres of water and 6 miles of shoreline. It lies within Ohio Division of Wildlife District Four(4).
Location ~ Veto Lake is located in southwestern Washington County. From US Route 50 take State Route 339 south to the lake.
Distance from Major Cities ~ Approximately 50 miles south of Cambridge. Approximately 90 miles southeast of Columbus. Approximately 5 miles from the Ohio/WV border.
Fishing Opportunities ~ Veto Lake supports populations of *Largemouth Bass *Spotted Bass *Bluegill *Redear Sunfish *Channel Catfish *Saugeye.
Boating Information ~ There is a 10-hp restriction on Veto Lake. An improved boat ramp is located off of Constitution Road on the south side of the lake.
The Ohio Division of Wildlife activities include ~ monitoring fish populations ~ stocking of channel catfish and saugeye ~ physical and chemical water analysis.
