Walleye fishing tournaments for 2024 have begun! The first Lake Erie Walleye Trail event took place Saturday, March 30th at Magee East Campground & Marina. Winning out over the 89 boat field was Team Hostetler with 37.25 lbs. They took home a very nice $7400 in prize money. The Kayak Division was won by Aaron McPherson who brought 3 fish to the scales he caught jigging. Congratulations to all anglers who cashed in this event.
Coming up on Saturday, April 20th is the LEWT Cast & Jig Open sponsored by Bay’s Edge Bait & Tackle. This is an Open, so no points awarded toward Team of the Year.
